"Harmony with existing architecture and natural elements"
At Water Magic Pools and Spas, we believe in creating projects that are in harmony with existing architecture and natural elements. When designing our vanishing edge pools or zero edge pools and spas, the durability of the cosmetic material used to finish the project is just as important as the design itself. That’s why we make sure our customers know exactly what’s available, cost effective and will last and look beautiful for years to come. We also follow a number of steps to guarantee complete satisfaction with the results. Each waterscape project is carefully designed and built by a team of highly skilled individuals to be not only structurally sound, but a beautiful accessory to the home environment. Our goal is to fulfill our clients’ dreams and expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fiberglass vs vinyl liner vs concrete pools
Vinyl liner pools have a lower initial cost and a customizable shape, but you’ll likely need to replace the liner within 5-10 years. Fiberglass pools are easier to maintain, quicker to install, and very durable. They cost more upfront and aren’t as customizable when it comes to shape. Concrete pools are extremely durable and customizable but require more maintenance, have higher maintenance costs, and have the longest installation process.
Pros to choosing fiberglass pools
- Fiberglass is compatible with both chlorine and salt pool systems
- Fiberglass won’t affect the pH of the water, making chemical balance easier
- Fiberglass pools never require refinishing
- Fiberglass is smooth on feet and less susceptible to algae growth
- Fast installation
- Immense durability
- Low maintenance = low cost of ownership
vinyl pool concerns
Vinyl pool linings are made of a highly durable, polymer that is corrosive-free. If you opt for a vinyl pool lining, it’s important to know that vinyl tends to wrinkle over time. While a wrinkle here and there is not going to damage your pool, it is not as aesthetically pleasing as the smooth, divot-free texture that a fiberglass pool offers. Vinyl linings are also more prone to damage from debris like rocks or branches, or from dog claws (or human claws, depending on who you party with).
Chlorine Pool
Pros:
- Lower upfront cost for a season’s worth of chlorine chemicals
- Similar levels of pool cleanliness are achievable if consistently monitored and cared for
- You can become great friends with the people behind the counter selling chlorine
Cons:
- Chlorine chemical costs stack up fast and keep adding up over the years
- You have to be careful handling and storing chemicals
- Harsh nature of shock and chlorine tablets in the water
- Requires diligent & frequent maintenance, can lead to vicious cycles of pool chemistry (e.g. “chlorine lock”)
Saltwater Pool
Pros:
- Spend less on expensive chemicals each year. Over the lifespan of the system, this can mean 40-50% savings – possibly more!
- Won’t irritate your skin or eyes, no harsh smell. Salt pools eliminate “chloramines”, the chemical byproduct responsible for dry red eyes, bleached swimsuits, and that lingering caustic smell.
- Less maintenance required. Once you set up your chlorine generator, you get consistent sanitation so you can count on blue & clear water.
- Nicer water quality & swimming experiences. People describe the water a s feeling “soft” & “silky”, much more like being in a pure and natural body of water.
Cons:
- Occasional salt cell cleaning required. Usually a few times a year, you’ll spend 10-15 minutes cleaning your salt chlorine generator’s cell (its plumbing component).
- Initial equipment cost. A salt chlorine generator can be more than you would spend initially for a season’s worth of chlorine.
- Salt cells need to be replaced eventually, often after 3-8 years. A salt cell is a consumable part. Exactly how long it lasts depends on the model and how you use it. A replacement is often about half the initial cost of the system (on average).
- Buying salt in bulk is inexpensive, but bags are heavy. You’ll add several hundred pounds of salt when you first install the salt chlorine generator. The water won’t be salty, and salt does “not” get used up.
